Raw material price forecasting

Built within Woodbury's GDE framework, this system permits a distributed materials sourcing group to monitor prices paid globally for manufacturing raw materials. The system provides interfaces to a range of ERP systems and permits the multinational client a centralised view of data difficult to collate without a unified ERP system across manufacturing sites.

Within an Internet based application, the system permits:

• Mapping of local material and supplier codes to a centralised common coding system
• Automated forecasting of non-critical material prices
• Monitoring of excessive price fluctuations
• Sophisticated Excel-like item level tools
• Modifiable price grid behaviour
• Off-line working (that is, continued application use while disconnected from the data source/intranet, e.g., on an aircraft)
• Read/write access to data subsets for non-global users
• Price projections of finished goods on a per factory basis
• Multi-currency / unit of measure support for both input and reporting
